Back in the early 1980's my brother & I spent a lot of time at our great-aunt's home. Each spring she would do loads of spring cleaning and some canning. One year we happened to be there when the clocks were to "spring" forward. My brother asked if she wanted him to help her reset the clocks. Auntie responded, "Nope, I don't pay those clocks any attention & pretty soon it'll be time to "fall back anyway!" Wow my brother & I thought. Auntie didn't care one way or the other. That stuck with me for many years.
In my school teaching years, I would be very upset to spring forward and do a happy dance to fall back. You see, sleeping was my main goal.
Well finally this past Saturday night into Sunday morning.....I didn't have to worry about the time. It doesn't affect me one bit and I can sleep in or nap any time I want to......oh...shhhhhhh, let's not mention that to Mr. Cowboy.
Take care everyone!!!!

I agree with you and your Auntie - the time doesn't affect me one bit - I just do it for "other" people so I can keep appointments with them on "their" time. I go to bed when I'm tired and get up when I'm done sleeping - LOL - it's one of the advantages of being retired - ;))
What a wonderful memory and now you can relate.....enjoyed your post.
Ha ha....for the first year, I didn't set the clocks before bed. The world didn't end. In fact only one other person knew it --until now.
I hope we ditch time changes for good. Although I would like to stay on DST.
