A Finish & A Continuance

Well at least it's completed but not yet quilted. I'll get to that one of these days!!

When searching through my stash for the elephant fabrics, I ran across another unfinished project.....my Armed Forces blocks. I decided to go with some filler block made from my red/white/blue scraps. I need to make one more block before putting all of it together. Good heavens, where to find time to do that??? ;-/

Design Wall Monday - Tuesday

Design Wall Monday on a Tuesday..... sorry about that.
I've been lazy with the sewing but not in the garden.... so I pulled out these to quilts from my UFO box to show. All they need is quilting.....
Pop over to Judy's blog to see what others are up to.

Eagle Update and More

I finally got the eagle sewn onto the background. I used one of my fancy stitches for the outer circle. I did a chain hand stitch with black DMC floss and a satin stitch for the inner circle. I love the little black circle between the inner and outer circles, just sets things off.
So far so good. I'll have to think about the next round  so I'm placing this in my UFO box for a week or so.

This little quilt was made using 3 fabrics of solid blue, solid yellow and a small floral print. I was practicing making half square triangles at the time so this was quick and fun.
This final quilt top is one that I've been working on of a couple of years.... LOL..... I finally settled on the grains of wheat at the top and "Harvest" at the bottom to finish off the look.
What are your thoughts???

Way Back Then 2

This block is also from the 90s. We took a class from Cindy Walter - Snippet Sensations and
More Snippet Sensations just to name a few.
I was really out of my comfort zone and this little project shows it but I did enjoy the day with Cindy and some wonderful friends.

Way Back Then

I was burrowing through a tub of scraps
when I ran across this old thing. It's from the early 90s when I was really into learning to paper piece. Some of you might recognize the background of apple fabric.  Of course this is one of my many UFOs that will probably never get done.

See the little worm in this last apple. It was machine embroidered on a machine that doesn't machine embroider...... LOL

;-}

Don't count the days, make the days count!
