Cousin Clark and Eclectic Me

This is my Cousin Clark. As you can see, he is taking the Covid-19 situation "very" seriously as we all are but he has taken it to another level.  This is what he looks like when we go for groceries.
I'm not kidding. At first I thought he was one of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. You remember then, right?
The other day we went out to town and OMG, did he get the looks. My other cousin V. and I couldn't understand a word he was saying because of all the protection his mouth was behind......hehehehehehehehe
All the children at the store were beside themselves with giggles and wide-eyed amazement. I can't wait to see what he wears the next time we go into town.  Stay tuned for that one.

As I've told everyone before, I've been planted in front of the TV for weeks....well, after Mr. Cowboy leaves for the day......shhhhhhhhhhh!
Now I hooked on an old TV show from 2011, "Body of Proof"starring Dana Delany
Here's a song that I like but has nothing to do with me life with Mr. Cowboy. I just like the tune.
This is Ingrid Michaelson singing Maybe.

And here another one from Death Cab for Cutie entitled I Will Follow You Into the Dark

I know I'm strange y'all but that's just the way I am.
What are you listening to these days or watching? I'd love to know I'm not the only one "trapped on my sofa".........hehehehehehe
Until next time. Stay safe everyone!!!

Loads of Blueberries

My cousins were given several containers of blueberries & of course immediately thought to bring then to me right in the middle of the end of hay season around here....sigh. So I put aside my other duties & plunged into canning. I looked online for easy recipes & thank goodness, found one that said boil them until there was a sort of thick brew, add a couple of cups of sugar & boil that for awhile. I them remembered my friend Gene's recipe adding gelatin, so I threw some of that in & proceeded with the jars/lids/hot bath thingy. After the lids popped it was suggested to put them in the frig. I had a better idea. I gave most back to my cousins to enjoy with toast & coffee or whatever....whew!

I did save a couple of jars for me and Mr. Cowboy and wow is it tasty!!

Man Verses Beasts

You may not be able to see but this trap has three wild hogs in it. My cousin, Clark borrowed the trap from another cousin, Ed. Allow me to digress a bit. Up until last week Clark was into trapping "moles." You know those tiny, almost blind, sort of hairless burrowing creatures that make mounds in your yard!! Clark is the king of trapping them but for some unfashionable reason, he decides to get into this new venture. I advised him that wild hogs are not the docile creatures like the moles but he didn't seem to grasp that concept.
Mole mound where the little critter lurks!!

Back to the present. Three hog wind up in the trap & charged it & him. Suddenly Clark realizes the viciousness he faced. So Clark called on three cousins for help. Mind you, all four of these guys are over 65 years old. This was not going to be pretty.
Picture four slow moving guys with two pick-up trucks backed as close as possible to the trap with raging, salivating, ferrel hogs just waiting for an opening to making someone's day.
I couldn't watch.
Let's just say there was a lot of screaming (like a teenage girl), hollering, praying & profuse sweating. All coming from the guys. My back was turned & I was safe seated in my Jeep ( I'm no fool). But by some miracle no one was injured only a bit shaken & limping, the guys, I mean!!
The hogs, still quite unhappy, were driven away to a processing plant.

On a brighter note, cousin Thelma landed a 10 lb. catfish. Dinner looks promising!!

;-}

Don't count the days, make the days count!
