What are your basting methods. I'd love to know because I'm looking at machine quilting about 7 quilts and I really need easy ways to baste. So, talk to me, please.

These great things you use with straight pins and you don't have the hasel of safty pins which I find hard to use and remove when quilting. They are a little pricey but well worth it. I just have a pkg of 50 and I find they are enought for me unless you are doing quite large quilts. Marla
I love using 505 spray and will only pin baste when my can runs dry!

Although I pin baste some of my projects, I also have used Sulky's kk2000 Temporary Adhesive Spray. I like kk2000 because it's effective, I only have to use like spritz's, and it doesn't harm the environment like some spray adhesives do. Good luck on your search for alternate methods of basting your quilts.
I am just about the quilt one that I actually thread basted. The difference is that I used a water soluble thread. I'll let you know how that goes. For the most part, I love to pin baste on my hand quilting frame and then quilt on the machine.
I love 505 spray adhesive on small projects. I have never quilted a larger quilt on my machine but I'm working up to it. I will probably use both spray adhesive and pins too. I just received an order of pimoors and I'm looking forward to using them because I hate use safety pins!
