Down A Long Road

Greetings everyone!
It's been a bit since I've posted. Mr. Cowboy is in full swing with hay baling these days and I'm the cook and fetch-it girl. So life has been very busy and fast paced.
Each day I try to get into my sewing room but someone always manages to get my attention for other things. The other day Cowboy & I did manage to take a drive around the community. The drive was quiet and peaceful. Mr. Cowboy & I always enjoy those times and cherish them. No cell service, no tractor noises, no one asking what to do next.
What are your peaceful moments like? I'd love to hear from you.

My peaceful moments are early in the morning before anyone else is up. I make me a hot cup of coffee and then enjoy the scenery outside, or watch the animals that wander into the yard, or simply sit and read for a while. It is my "me" time. I enjoy the peace and quiet before I have to get the day started. I hope yours is a good one.

It sounds like a nice getaway. It is always wonderful when one can step away from all of life's chaos.

I have taken a step back from sewing and quilting also. I am spending more time doing other things like learning Spanish and playing the ukulele.

Peaceful is relative. Early mornings before the dog wakes the man. Early evenings with a cup of coffee and something to read while the man watches whatever on the TV, but NEVER if the kids are here. it doesn't have to be quiet, just drama free.
xx, Carol

Looks like a lovely road to travel down. Peaceful moments for me generally involve sitting in my sewing room with needle and threads and repetitive stitching.

The other day we got in our kawasaki (I am sure I spelled that wrong) and drove the property and part way through my husband goes I left my phone at home. I said aww...who cares. I didn't even have mine and didn't care. When did these devices take over our lives?

;-}

Don't count the days, make the days count!
