By leaving your email within your comment, I can find you. I realize that this is sometimes a scary thing to do with scams and all but if you disguise the email as say.....

this is the perfect way to hide from the unwanted eye. So please help me out if you are one of the non-responders.
Thank you, in advance.....Ravelly Rhonda!!

Sneak Peek Revealed

This past November I posted about a project that is due in February. I mentioned a Hereford Bull we named Curly. Above is the finished top measuring 72" by 98."
As always, I had a blast making each block. I decided to title it "Way Back Then" because most of the blocks depicted, my mom told me about. This is from my family's history. Below are close-ups of the blocks.

Now to get it quilted in a timely manner......sigh.....cross your fingers everyone!!!

Grape Jelly

Whew!
Here's a quick recap of my Mustang grape canning escapades ....
After fermenting over night. The smell is wonderful.
After boiling & simmering for an hour or so.
Here's how the grapes look after I pulverized them a couple of times.
Final results - 4qts, 8pts, 4 half pts.
There are loads more grapes on the vine but do I have the energy to pick and process them. Only time will tell but this old girl is tiring!!!!!!!
While I was canning my Cowboy came in from golfing with his buddies & had changed into his work boots to begin cutting in the hay fields. He decided to leave the golfing attire on. I just had to snap this photo.

Duh!

I want to thank everyone who commented on my nine patch drama. You all were so inspiring and insightful. I thought about what you all said, slept on it, worried about it and then got a notion.
It was a DUH moment for me.
Here's what I came up with.
Light fabric for the folks who voted that way and dark fabric for the others. LOL..... I titled this post "Duh" because it suddenly dawned on me that I had enough blocks to make both quilt tops. I even managed to do one on the diagonal... a real feat for me.
Thanks again everyone!!!

Round Robin Reveal

Our Round Robin group: L to R: Molly, Kathy, Cheryl, Debbie, Melissa and Rhonda. We had a fan-tabu-lous......lol.......time....what with trying to interpret what our instructions "really" meant, what we each were trying to figure out to do next, the e-mailing back and forth, the late nights, frayed nerves........they all turned out beyond all of our expectations..........However, none of us want to do this again any time soon! This is Kathy's. Her quilt is dedicated to her son Josh who is her hero.
This is Cheryl's. As you can see her theme was Christmas. The stockings have all her grandkids names on them plus an extra for the yet born one.
This is Debbie's. We used some Thimbleberries and Civil War fabrics to really make this quilt pop.
This is Molly's. Her theme is about she and her husband's ranch. She was quite pleased with the outcome. The picture doesn't even come close to the real thing.
This Melissa's. She owns a Retreat so her quilt reflects that.
This is my quilt. I had no idea of what I'd get with the center I provided but I am very happy with what I got back. I was experimenting with half square triangles at the time I made th center and loved the black swirly fabric.
