Reminder

If you are a "non-responder or OpenID-er" which to me means I have no way of responding to a comment that you've left, please leave a way for me to get in touch with you, especially if you're participating in a blog give-away or if you are asking for information or links.
By leaving your email within your comment, I can find you. I realize that this is sometimes a scary thing to do with scams and all but if you disguise the email as say.....
me at yahoo dot com
this is the perfect way to hide from the unwanted eye. So please help me out if you are one of the non-responders.
Thank you, in advance.....Ravelly Rhonda!!

Monday, Monday

Here's my latest helping hands quilt. Some may recognize the design, "Fractured Diamond" which comes out square but I needed it to be rectangular. I'd run out of fabric.....what to do, what to do??
Ah, something came to mind as I was sleeping. I added Warm & Cozy to the top. So now I thinking that when I make more helping hands tops that are square, Warm & Cozy will make them the right size for sharing..........whew!
Be sure to pop over to Judy's to see what everyone else is up to.

Another Star

Thes star was made from 5.5 half square triangles & what I call solid squares. It measures 40" & was machine quilted.

It's A Start

I finally decided to put my Leafing Through the Year in the frame & began hand quilting. Close your mouths! Laugh out loud! Yes, I'm actually hand quilting this on. Hopefully it'll be finish by May but don't hold me to that!
I used a FriXion Pilot pen to mark the quilt in a cross-hatch design. Surely I can keep most of my meager hand quilting skills on the line.

No Sun!!

No Sun......
It's very cold......
The ground is wet and icy......
What's a girl to do???
Not sew, that's for sure!!!!
It's Kindle time for me. I uploaded some of Beth Moore's free books the other week so I'm going to set my Kindle to the "talk" feature as I do housework for a few days.
I love my Kindle and am thinking about upgrading to the Kindle Fire. Any critques for me to consider from those who already own one?????
I'm interested in the movie feature.....do you download a move? can it be stored on the Kindle? is it mine forever?

Mug Rug Thursday

Burrrrrrrrrr! It's 25 degrees here in central Texas.....not a temperature we are use to at all. At least I'm not. Winds are blowing in from the north and even the birds are having a
difficult time "at the feeder!"

Now, the winner of "An Eye for Coffee is"...................................................
BTW, just so you know, the little princess visited and begged to click the Random thingy. I insisted that she practice a few times.....just to get it out of her system.....before the actual number came up.
As you can see #7 is the winner....
Congratulations Needled Mom.......You know the drill. Leave a comment so we can communicate via email.
The next mug rug are these cute little hearts. One has Cupid's arrow though it. I've entitled it
 "Cupid's Found His Mark"
Leave a comment and I'll announce a winner February 20th.

Inquisitive

First....if you're looking for a new project in 2014, try out my "Lazy Hearts" BOM.
It's from a project I designed a couple of years ago and it's free.  I love sharing with everyone.  Just click on my BOM & BOW page near the top of my blog to find all the designs.

Milkshake is investigating the bottom of a mineral bucket.
"What's all the fuss about taking you vitamins," is the caption I'm giving this one.
She is too funny to watch and that white "Nike" mark above her eye is so unusual, it makes her look like a mischievous  child. Her mommy is, as always, neck deep in the feeder. Little Milkshake as become a very independent girl........LOL

Monday, Monday

"Some little (princess) person" was visiting and helped me design this helping hands quilt top.......She was adamant about the placement so I had no choice but to stick to it.......LOL....I'm sure whoever receives this quilt will love it!!!!!

This quilt top measures 36" by 42" and it's made from strips of scraps and is headed to helping hands, as well. These types of small quilts are great for nursing home patients because they easily fit in a wheelchair or lounge chair.

Make sure you pop over to Judy's to see what others are up to on this Design Wall Monday.

Don't count the days, make the days count!
