Storm Warnings

Greetings All!!
What's been going on here at Ravelly's? Well, I'll tell you. R A I N & thunderstorms. In the last three weeks we've had about 15 inches of rain. The creeks have overflowed twice. Our cattle have been forced to move to higher ground and there has been no hay productivity whatsoever. This is not good. Mr. Cowboy is not happy which translates to my life isn't doing well because he is pacing the floor....sigh.
This weather is very unusual. Sure, it's the shower/rainy season but there is normally lots of sunny days spread throughout the weeks. And the temperature is unusually low. I'm talking 65 to 75 degrees. Normally it would be around 80 or higher by now. I'm not complaining about the temp but the rain is somewhat of a problem. We'll need it by August, though.
How's the weather in your neck of the woods?
Note my header photo. I took that the other day as a thunderstorm with loads of lightening involved rolled in.

Hi Rhonda. The weather has been very strange here for a while now. It started raining here in October and rained off and on until a few weeks ago. There was so much rain there wasn't any where for the water to go. Lakes rose, creeks over flowed, stuff was washed out, and lots of trees fell. But we didn't have one single flake of snow. We have had some nice weather lately with temps in the high 70's and low 80's. But it is raining again now. I sure hope it doesn't last long.

We had a rain storm yesterday and into last night. There is rain predicted through the weekend also.
At least it has cooled the temp down and we aren't as warm this morning.

I have been thinking about you Texas bloggers with all of the weather issues. Stay safe. We are in the midst of our "May Grey" here - cool and foggy days. We even have a chance of rain. Looking forward to seeing the sun someday soon.

For the last couple of years, we've been above average almost every month - 12 inches in one day at the end of February! Right now, lots of cloudy days, but not so much rain with it, and I'm not sorry about that. It's actually partly sunny today! The temps have been in the low 80s, but set to drop into low 70s tomorrow. I don't know that there is such a thing as normal in Tennessee - certainly not the 9 years I've lived here! I hope the cows move on their own, and it dries out for the hay soon!

;-}

Don't count the days, make the days count!
