One Eye At A Time

Greetings everyone!!
Gene asked a great question about my surgery the other day. Doctors recommend do Cataract surgery on one eye at a time so that's what I'm into at this point. The first eye was done last week and the second eye will be done next week.  I must say, I wasn't afraid at all and can see much better but am trying to get use to the brightness of these sunny days we are finally getting.
I could probably get in some sewing but I really don't want to strain my eye muscles (AKA) I'm being lazy for a bit.....hehehehehehehe
Hope you all are enjoying this month of March. Soon spring will be here and I'm really for warmer weather. Aren't you?

Rhonda, good on you! Had both my eyes done last year, and almost cried for joy when I saw how much more intense colors were. Funny thing is, I used to wear glasses all the time because I was nearsighted (very). Now I wear glasses all the time because I'm very farsighted. LOL They couldn't do the multi-range lenses because my nearsightedness was so severe...had to pick one distance and go with that. Nice thing is, I can see to drive without glasses, and can see the clock at night (and the bathroom, lol) without putting them on.

It's good to hear that your first eye surgery went well and that you can see much better now - be as lazy as you want - you'll get back to sewing soon enough - ;))

Like Linda, I was near sighted for 52 years before both eyes were done. Now I can spot a gnat at 50 paces. First thing I bought were a pair of good sun glasses. Hope all is goes well with the second.

Great! I am glad the first one went well. It is good to take it easy for the healing time.

I will second what Angie in SoCal said- Good sunglasses! Your eyes are worth it

Enjoy your 'new' eyes! One of my friends had hers done and after years of wearing glasses (pretty much her whole life) she now only needs them for reading. Still can't get used to her without them!

;-}

Don't count the days, make the days count!
