I've been saving the fabric for the largest pumpkin for quite some time & I'm happy with the choice.
As you all know me so well, you know that my attention span is very short. So when I found a photo of a moose, I just had to put my spin on it.
After tracing the moose design onto fabric adhesive then pressing that onto black fabric, it was time to cut out parts of the center.
Here's a view from the front side.
Back to cutting with tiny scissors, of course.
Finally all done with the cutting. Now on to auditioning background.
#1 - what are your thoughts?

Your fabric was just waiting to be used as the largest pumpkin - it's a great choice! The acorns in the first photo looked like "feet" to me - so I was happy to see that you rearranged it a bit for your second photo - LOL.
Your moose is VERY detailed - you must have VERY tiny scissors - and a VERY steady hand. And because you asked for our thoughts - I think he hardly shows up at all on #1 - looks like he has a sunburn on #2 - and shows up well on #3 - but it's boring. I'd keep looking - maybe for something with green in it - but that's just me. I know YOU have the PERFECT background somewhere - and you WILL find it. Or ask Mr. Cowboy - he was right about the tree - LOL - ;))
I laughed myself silly with your comment about #2 sunburn. Thanks for commenting. I'll keep auditioning fabrics
hmmm... I disagree. I really like #2 best - but I think perhaps you should audition more fabrics.
Aw, man, it's been way too long since I've done detail work like this!! Your moose is stunning (and somewhat seductive looking; must be mating season). I vote number 2!! Looks kind of like snow, along with the Aurora Borealis. Very cool, Rhonda.
That is amazing detail work on that moose. I love the fabric in #1, but it doesn't do justice to the gorgeous moose. I'd love to see that fabric in lighter shades. #3 is gorgeous, but too boring for you! ;-) 2 is okay, but I think it needs to be more neutral in color. I LOVE the fabric in your large pumpkin.
I know I'm entirely out in left field but for some reason I would love to see that moose as a silhouette in front of some of that wonderful fabric you used for the big pumpkin. In the shape of a giant harvest moon?
