I know you can't really see the raindrops but it did rain a whole day here in central-ish Texas. I was so happy about that.
And now, Mr. Cowboy and I plucked the lone pineapple from its stem and cut into the little guy. As you can see Mr. Cowboy approved. The pineapple was sweet and tasty. It will be another 3 years before we produce another......LOL

Congratulations!! The only thing I can ever remember "rooting" was an avocado seed that I stuck with three toothpicks and then balanced in a glass of water - once - a looooong time ago - LOL - ;))
LOL! I told Mr. Cowboy that the pineapple actually took 4 years but he insisted on 3. I once grew something from a potato....mostly potato leaves...hehehehehehehe!!
I have rarely grown any food on my own. Funny, I can grow flowers and have them produce, but I have not had any luck growing food.
I didn't realize pineapples were that time consuming to grow.
My granddaughter in law is Cuban. There must be some tradition about eating pineapple on your wedding day and then growing another from it. There's a whole story to why I think so, but she and you are the only people I know that rooted pineapples. Three years huh? That's a long time to watch over it.

Well worth the effort. Right? I'm waiting for six plants to form their pineapples in my pineapple garden. It takes forever, but it is so much fun when they form.
I've never known anyone to be successful at growing pineapples at home - and also didn't know that you would have to wait three years for another fruit. Interesting!
