Strange But Useful Foot

The button foot!!
I've used the Pfaff foot many times & even read the Manuel on how to....laugh out loud! That particular foot allows you to place the button the the carriage so the machine makes the decision of measurement. Cool, right? I think so. I have yet to use the Janome foot & with hay season & my feelings of not wanting to sew these days.....sigh!
I'll be giving away a FQ so just leave a comment to be included in the drawing. Even if you've already won, you're still eligible.

I used my button foot for the first time EVER this year. It was slow going, because I was terrified, but it worked like a dream! I have an Elna 740.

This foot is wonderful to use, especially if you have a ton of buttons to sew on. (I use to make baby things for craft stores and used it all the time.) Unfortunately, that machine broke and I don't have one for the new one. Why are feet so expense anyway?

I have never used a button foot. I don't think I HAVE one. But I usually use an open foot or zig zag to stitch mine on. Unless I'm too lazy. Then I hand stitch. Not quite as tidy and machine stitched.

I have that Janome foot and love it, but I do a lot of garment sewing.

Oh my, I just realized I haven't done a button hole for about 30+ years.

I've used my button foot only once. it definitely intimidated me, but seemed to work fine.

I have used my Janome buttonhole foot several times. It is surprisingly easy to use even though it does look intimidating. I think I have a buttonhole foot with most of my machines - except the Featherweight and maybe the 70's Kenmore.

I don't garment sew often, as in almost never, but I do have a Janine button foot

I've heard of them, but I don't have one - just me and my awl. =) Thanks for the chance to win a FQ. That's so nice, and just plain fun.
