"A Storm Brewing"
is this week's mini but I'm not sure I like this one.
is this week's mini but I'm not sure I like this one.
A buffalo is suppose to be grazing on the prairie with a stormy sky as the main event in the background.
The sky is suppose to look turbulent but I don't know if I've pulled it off. Mr. Cowboy says that I need more blues and grays. I started with a McKenna Ryan background that goes from a dark to light pinkish tan.
I've added a dark green line to show a bit of the foreground when the buffalo is to stand and so grass. (This is only a placement....no pressing yet.)
I got sick of mess with it and pressed it all down but I'm thinking of starting over.
Help!! What are your thoughts??

Looks good. The darker blue gives it a stormy look
I like it - storms coming in from the top right! I think your quilting will enhance and add more turbulence.
I think it looks pretty stormy to me. Love all of the colors!
I like it - definitely looks stormy...and I like the green in front for the buffalo to eat!
Have to admit I agree with everyone else. I really like it

I like it, but I think it looks pre-stormy. Like a storm is brewing and is just moving in. Love the buffalo. I'm going to enjoy seeing your progress on this placemat. I have never quilted a landscape and really want to give it a try.
I like it... but if you want to intensify those clouds you could do it with colored pencils even now.
I like it. I ssee it is so stormy. The Gras is good in the vorderground. Oh, my english, i find it difficult to bescribe my emotions.

I don't know what was in your head, so I don't know where this fails your vision. However, I'm from the west, and that sky definitely looks like either a storm is coming or one is leaving. =) I like it very, VERY much.
