Cleaning Helps/Design Wall Monday

So I was cleaning out a couple of scrap boxes of what I thought were 2 inch fabrics and fat quarters when I ran across these blocks......which are now on my Design Wall.
I immediately remembered working on the blocks over a year ago....my, how times flies. All I need to do is do some filler blocks and strips to put this little quilt together. I'm not going to put them back in the box and hope to work on them "very, very soon"......you've heard here folks!!!

Then I ran upon this block....the log cabin I worked on about 6 months ago.......what was I thinking? where was this going? why didn't I finish it? who am I kidding?
Any thoughts????
I need help.......sign!

Which brings me to this little project.....the T-bird.....so far this is it but I do want to add so scenery, maybe a road.....we'll see, I hope.

What have you found while cleaning out some of your scraps, I'd love to hear about it???
Pop over to Judy's to see what others are up to.

A Note to.........

I don't want to go through my scrap box if I'm going to find UFO's in it, LOL. I'm in the midst of cataloguing my UFO's and I already have enough, thank you!!! ;) Actually last night, oddly, I went to sleep after dreaming up a grand plan of doing Scraps Be Gone Sundays (I was medicated, LOL) wherein I would stitch all of my scraps from the week, to 13" batting squares to make QAYG quilt blocks. In my mind, I could keep up with the scraps and apparently make a quilt every month or so. Ummmmmmmm no? LOL! Actually the plan was to only use the scraps that don't have a specific colour - I keep my coloured ones sorted to make colour block quilts :D I may implement that plan but on a less formal scale - it would be nice to use up the scraps, since I refuse to throw them out :D

Hey Girl, I remember some of these blocks. Yep, you need to put them together. I will admit that snake blocks gives me the creepers jeepers! LOL

That log cabin is spectacular. Maybe finish it as a wall hanging. Home away from home. It makes me think of a cozy mountain getaway! And I like your snake. He doesn't bite!

It looks to me that the log cabin and mountains fits in with the animals, cowboy boots, covered wagon, native american, buffalo, snake, etc. All of these things were part of settling the American west. Why not put them all together in one quilt? Just mho. :) Good luck!

You found some really cool stuff in you boxes. Love the cabin, It would make a cute wall hanging, just add some trees and maybe a animal or two.

Love the T-Bird. A car quilt is on my list

I really like the idea of the log cabin being part the top blocks. My first thought is a medalion quilt but for you, maybe an off center focal block would be better.

It's such a mystery to me how blocks and projects fall out of sight and disappear! Hope they find their way into a finished quilt!
