This is the quilt minus any solid border I plan to sew on at a later date.
This is a close-up of 4 blocks which the pre-cut maroon border fabrics come together around the cream colored fabrics.
This is a close-up of the secondary design I got by sewing light fabrics to the opposite ends of each block.

Love the string blocks, but have always stayed away from using really light colors because of the threads showing through? How crazy is that??
