Does this picture remind you of you......LOL......I can explain all of these.......really I can.
These 3 pair are great for regular sewing. I can't stand the loose thread ends on the backs of my quilts so I use these all the time. I keep a pair on my ironing board, one at my sewing area and one near my cutting mate. Why, you might ask? Well usually when I need to use pair, they're way across the room (centimeters...LOL) and I don't want to use time locating them.
These curved scissors are great when embroidering in my hoop. These babies can get very close to the needle and other hard to reach places.
I used these 2 when cutting paper, stabilizer, tape and even fabric The blue handle scissors very rarely need sharpening.
More thread snippers. I keep these in my sewing drawer that I take on retreats.
Aren't these cute? And they really work, too!
Enough said......
How many scissors do you own and operate?

OH, my......I have about 4 pairs of fabric scissors (none of them very good ones) and one thread snipper and 3 smaller scissors for lighter duty. I usually wear one of the smaller ones on a retractable cord around my neck so they are with me all the time. My husband and daughter think I have too many...they don't know why I'd need that many but you make my collection look like it is NOTHING. hehehe
LOL--what is it with some of us quilters-----if a little is good, well then a WHOLE BUNCH must be beter!!!! I am with you----I have LOTS of scissors---maybe I will gather mine and see actually how many I have! I also have a LOT of sewing machines--5 plus a serger; embroidery machine and a hemmer and a longarm. Oh well---what can I say?! Have a great day--and thanks for sharing!

Glad you found my Texas Blogging Gals! You will be on the next updated list. Following....
Love the collection. Come see me at my personal blog, too, real soon.
I have a drawerful of scissors...but a few that I use regularly...my little clipping scissors, a small pair that I use to trim applique, and my big Fiskar fabric scissors, pairs of small and large paper scissors get used the most..but hiding in my drawer are pinking shears (2 for fabric - 1 for paper), scalloping scissors, 3 pair of folding scissors, 2 pair of long Singer scissors, 2 pair of small scissors, battery operated scissors, my grandmother's scissors, and numerous others that are nondescript....do I have enough?
I don't even want to think about how many I have. You need to submit your scissor pic to that flickr "show your scissors" account. There are a lot of scissors shown there.
rut row. i think i have a similar problem...and lord help the man that tries to use any of my scissors for the wrong purpose... ;)
I'm not a quilter (at least not for many years), but I have all variety of scissors, too! Laser leveld ones, close clipping ones, paper ones, cloth ones, and the Gingher's, which I have promised to stab my husband with if he even thinks of using them. So many scissors, so little time!
