I really appreciated everyone's recommendations for the mini quilt. Here's what I've come up with and am very happy with the outcome. I enlarged the trunk of the tree and used a darker fabric. Note the trout in the claws of the eagle and I widened the lake to flow off the border. So now, it onto pressing and stitching down or maybe just framing this baby. A friend saw it and loved it and of course has asked to have it. Thanks everyone!
