If you are reading this post....I'm on a retreat with a specific project in mind.
Molly, one of my "wacky" girlfriends, is the Queen of Feathered Star and has graciously (we pushed her into it) offered to tutor us in making our own (she'll probably have to use a cattle prod). She had given us homework assignments of pre-cutting and such.......we've only groans a couple of times but our excitement is still very high. Kathy, has sent several emails to Molly attempting to get one up on the rest of us (teacher's pet) but we aren't worried.....hardly. We're plotting revenge, no doubt.
I will have plenty to talk about on Monday or so and hopefully, I'll have a completed feathered star to show...oh boy!

Have fun on your retreat Rhonda. The project look challenging enough to keep interest but also doable in a weekend.
hope you have a GREAT retreat!
I'd tell you to have fun, but that's a given when you get together with friends quilting! That block is fabulous!
You gals will have a blast! Wish I was there with you. Don't be to hard on Kathy, you can't blame her for trying. ;)
I can tell you are having fun. The feathered star is beautiful. I can hardly wait to read all about your goings on and see more pictures.
I think there will be many fun tales told when you return to your blog!
Hope you are having a blast at your retreat while learning how to master the art of assembling feathered stars. Looking forward to hearing all about it when you return.
Enjoy your retreat, I made a feathered Star wall hanging once, came out pretty good for the novice quilter I was then.
I've been trying to rehome my scraps - either through use in projects, use as cat bed fillers, or just gifts!
Meanwhile if you have any gnomes on fabric - I know where they would be put to good use.
