By leaving your email within your comment, I can find you. I realize that this is sometimes a scary thing to do with scams and all but if you disguise the email as say.....

this is the perfect way to hide from the unwanted eye. So please help me out if you are one of the non-responders.

Listening Pleasure

It's another great Monday. Today I decided to share this video of Tammi Terrell and Marvin Gaye.
Back in the late 60s to early 70s this was one of my favorite songs......you know the pre-teen to teenage years.....the first boyfriend.....life goes from one extreme moment to the next.....that sort of thing.
I must tell you though, for me there was no dating....why, you might ask?  Well, I lived out in the middle of nowhere, the boonies, way-far........the boys I knew had no cars and even if they did, mom and dad weren't about to allow me to go on a date......I can laugh about that now but then........I was always breathing fire at the injustice of it all..........and needless to say, I spent alot of time in my room listening to music and sulking  ;-(
Now that I'm over the hill, so to speak, I can look back on those years and ........ and......... and......still get a little angry..........hehehehehehehe........but I still love to listen to that music and I've long forgiven mom and dad.
What were some of your boyfriend, dating type songs?  I'd love to here from you.

My story is the same as your only you can add that we live in the 410 area code & my school/friends/potential boyfriends all lived in a different area code.

Back then there was a thing called "long distance" & I'd have been skinned alive if I made any of those calls.

I read this yesterday and WOW!!. Things sure have changed. Living out in the boonies now, it amazes me how no one thinks a thing of driving 20 minutes to get somewhere. Transportation sure has changed lots of things. And I had to chuckle when I read Calico Cat's reply, I REMEMBER "long distance" too. I was just trying to explain to the kids how code words were used when calling long distance and you only called in an emergency.

IF you had lived in town, you would have had many, many young men following you around. Just because you are so special. :)

;-}

Don't count the days, make the days count!
