If you are a "non-responder or OpenID-er" which to me means I have no way of responding to a comment that you've left, please leave a way for me to get in touch with you, especially if you're participating in a blog give-away or if you are asking for information or links.
By leaving your email within your comment, I can find you. I realize that this is sometimes a scary thing to do with scams and all but if you disguise the email as say.....

this is the perfect way to hide from the unwanted eye. So please help me out if you are one of the non-responders.
Thank you, in advance.....Ravelly Rhonda!!

I'm Eating....Sort Of

Ayden has 4 teeth and is taking advantage of that fact by eating anything she can get her little hands on. As we all know, babies have to learn and develop their eye/hand coordination...... Unfortunately, her daddy won't allow her to hold her apple slice because she had already gotten some in her hair, on his arm and on the floor.....LOL

S H A R K ! ! !

No, it's not what you're thinking!!!  The Shark I'm referring to is a "steam mop."  Yes, steam mop.  Normally, I don't get excited about house-work but I'm taking exception this time.  Our church's fellowship hall work-staff, who are few and sometimes over worked, have been searching for a BETTER way of cleaning. After some research, my mom came up with an ad she'd seen on the NET.  Our neighbor and fellow member of the church found and purchased 2.  One larger version for the church and a smaller one for herself.  After cleaning the fellowship hall with ease, I might add, I was sold on the SHARK and purchased 2 more. One for me and one for mom.  All I can say is if you dislike mopping, this product is for you.  It uses tap water to clean the floor and doesn't leave the floor with that watery residue that takes several minutes to dry.  Try it out to see for yourselves. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Christmas Everywhere

Christmas Everywhere

Everywhere, everywhere, Christmas tonight!
Christmas in lands of the fir-tree and pine,
Christmas in lands of the palm-tree and vine,
Christmas where snow peaks stand solemn and white,
Christmas where cornfields stand sunny and bright.
Christmas where children are hopeful and gay,
Christmas where old men are patient and gray,
Christmas where peace, like a dove in his flight,
Broods o'er brave men in the thick of the fight;
Everywhere, everywhere, Christmas tonight!
For the Christ-child who comes is the Master of all;
No palace too great, no cottage too small.

Favorite Fabric Monday

"In the Time of Toile" Shelburne Museum by Froncie Quinn for Red Rooster Fabrics dan #16176. I used some of this fabric to bind Ayden's birthday quilt.
This is the last of the Favorite Fabric Mondays until next year. During the holidays, I plan to clean out and re-fold my fabric stash so I'm sure I'll find more SUTFF....heheheheheh.....until next year then.

Posty Pals

Merry Christmas to all the Posty Pals!
I really enjoyed the exchange and the friendship. A few ladies had to drop out and one wonderful lady, Carol passed away in April, which sadden us greatly. But through it all, I have grown and learned so much from my wonderful Posty friends.

Will I Finish It.......

Will I finish this before Christmas?  My inquiring mind sure wants to know......this small quilt top has been sitting in a pile of UFOs for almost a year......all I need to do is sew on one more side of Tone On Tone   fabircs measuring 3 1/2 inches each...........I think I've peeped myself up enough to GetHerDone.
This was a quick quilt that wound up taking forever!

A Wacky Christmas Dinner

This is the restaurant we celebrated our annual Christmas dinner.
This year, we went with no fuss, no gift exchanges, just plenty of laughs and good food.
Most of us met at Jerri's house for drinks and a snack before dinner...LOL.....Jerri's hubby took this picture where we all hid behind a chair.......LOL
And here's the whole group with big smiles and very full tummies.
Here's wishing everyone a Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays!

And The 500th Post Winner Is.............

Drum-roll please............................................................................................. Joanne! Congratulations to you and thanks to all who participated. Joanne, if you would "E" me, I'll get the ball rolling your way. To all my Followers, blogging friends and my "wacky" sisters, this old girl has really enjoyed this world of blogging, facebooking and twittering. I never thought much about living in the 21st century......only thought about getting to retirement.....well, I'm there and very happy about it. Boy, have things changed. I've got a cell phone, a car cell phone thingy (hands free), a GPS (Marg, that's her name), a gauge that tells me my tires are low, a flat screen TV that's light weight with brilliant color, satellite service (no more antennae), microwave, which is old hat nowadays, and many other things that don't come to mind at the moment. Someone once asked, "If you could bring back one person who would it be and why?" I thought of my dear granddad who passed away in 1982. He would really love all this modern technology. I could just see him hunched over a computer, using his two finger method of typing to communicate with .....whoever is another state........getting a might frustrated on how to send a email.....call out to me, "Rhondee," that's what he always called me....."Rhondee, tell me how this new fangled thing works again!" It makes me laugh and brings tears to my eyes at the same time because I know that old man would have loved all this.............anyway, I don't know where I was going with that thought but.....Thanks for visiting my blog and being a friend! Take care, all!!!!!

BTW............. Don't forget to leave a comment on my 500th give-away to be eligible for some wonderful fabrics!!!!!  The drawing happens this Wednesday.

Striking Fractured Diamond

Using "Cambridge Common" by Design Concepts for Gee Spirit (I think I have that right) as my backdrop, I then pulled several black & white fabric combos along with 2 red type fabric to make this quick quilt. It measures 8 1/2" for each block; 2" on the red border; 3" on the piano-key border. So roughly at this point it's 40" square. This is the second quilt I've made using this method.  This LINK shows the same quilt but in a totally different color scheme.  What a difference!!!

;-}
