Right Eye

circa 1984
Greetings all!! I'm still recovering from the cataract surgery and doing a bit more spring cleaning. I ran across this photo of my teaching years in Teague, TX. Those were great years and I made some wonderful friends.

This apron was one of the give-aways.

The other weekend I was busy at our local community center with our 2nd Annual Little Taste of Butler.  The food was fantastic and everyone really enjoyed themselves.  One of these days I'll get back to sewing but at the moment I'm having a blast with life in general.  Hope your "spring" is going well.

  1. Spring cleaning is always a good thing to do. It's great that you have such fond memories from teaching. My mom was a teacher until she retired and always speaks fondly of the profession.

  2. I say enjoy all you can. Sewing can wait.

  3. I remember the days when most teachers were still wearing dresses! In 1984, I'd been teaching 7 years! Good to find old memory prompts, and make new ones at the same time. =)
