First, a bit of canning news. I got my hands on two pounds of fresh strawberries.....stuffed my face with alot of them and canned the rest into a delicious jam.
BTW...I tried some of the jam on a fantastic slice of loaf cake I made over the holiday and OMG, it tasted just like strawberry shortcake without the whipped cream. I probably gained several pounds but I'm not getting on the scales to check.....hehehehehehe

ReplyDeleteThe jam looks sooo good. Strawberries are my favorite! I can remember going out to the strawberry patch and eating them right there. They were so sweet and delicious. For some reason, the ones in the store are just not as good.

Your jam is making my mouth water. I am trying to be good and eat sensibly, but jam on a freshly baked cake sounds delicious. The C with plaid fabric reminds me of my late mum, Catherine who was born in Scotland. Thanks for the opportunity to be in the mix for this one.xx
