This is my first "Wicked" hop, so I hope that I've kept to the
spirit of the whole experience. If not, I apologize most humbly.
These are blocks that I've been working on for about a month. I've named them "House Haunters" because of the wonky/spooky look to them. I'm, also, posting my design patterns if anyone would like to make them. Just copy and save them for your use.
All the house fabrics came from my stash. I had fun digging and making a big mess. I also used my favorite fabric adhesive, Steam-a-Seam and followed the pressing instructions provided.
These blocks will become a fireplace mantel runner.
I made this giant pumpkin center table mat from blocks that I'd found in my UFO box. I love earthy colors so the 3 inch blocks worked well for the border. I machine quilted it and bound it in a wonderful orange strip. It measures 15 1/2 inches square.
This will go well at Thanksgiving.
Now, for the give-a-ways.......
I made this
Wicked Spider mug rug
sure to keep your coffee/tea..... hot and ready. I machine embroidered
"Wicked" on its abdomen which signifies our theme.

And finally, I made this mug rug the other day.....just couldn't help myself.
See the sparkles in the slippers......love that fabric!!
The wicked witch is trying to get the ruby slippers.

ReplyDeleteForgot to let you know that I do follow you via Bloglovin.
ReplyDeleteYour quilts are amazing and you are very generous to share your patterns. I found myself going back and looking and looking at the houses. They are amazing. Were you an art teacher or are you doubly or triply, etc. blessed. If you were an art teacher, I would have been a nightmare student. I have no artistic ability. I have creative ability but not artistic. I can take things others have done, change and embellish, etc. When I took a creativity class in grad school, my daughter was still at home and she saved my hide a couple of times with art work I needed. I started looking around your blog and finally came back to post. First, your feathered star block is amazing. I imagine you ladies had a blast doing them, too. They are phenomenal. I'd like to try one some time. I found so many pretties and recipes that my bunny trail seemed like the super information highway at least 8 lanes wide. I had fun, fun, fun and I know I didn't begin to see a smidge of it. Thanks for participating; sharing your creativity; and giving me a great diversion from what I was doing. Hope to see you in more hops very soon.
ReplyDeleteYou know I alway love your things .
ReplyDeleteYour new things are great.
