#6 of Gone Fishin is here.
My favorite fabric is the underbelly geometric scrap. I only had a little bit of it so I don't
know the designer.
Next, another finish. You remember this little quilt "In These Shoes"
Well I was very busy sewing and binding all weekend.
I used Gene's method of basting: hairspray!!
It worked like a charm. Thank you Gene for that fantastic suggestion. It worked like a charm!

Here are a few close-ups. I did tiny meandering throughout the quilt.
I bound the quilt in black.
Judy is our hostess for DWM so pop over and say Howdy!!
I love the fish Rhonda, you are a natural at making nature scape things.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great shoe quilt. You must have been doing that before I found you. My mother, only 5'1", used to wear those spike heels until they so deformed her feet that she had to come down to my very casual level. ;-)
ReplyDeleteAnother great fish Rhonda!
ReplyDeleteI'm off to check out Gene's hairspray!!!
Well who would have ever thought of hairspray! Great looking quilt!
ReplyDeleteHair spray..hmmmm any brand in particular? Love fish # 6
ReplyDeleteLooks great, love the fish as well as all those shoes :)
ReplyDeleteYaay! I am so glad to hear that you had success with the hairspray method of basting!
ReplyDeleteHairspray! Who knew? I love that you tried it out on your shoe quilt. Seems poetic somehow. I love fish # 6!
ReplyDeleteAnother wonderful fish but seriously those shoes are just too much! Love that one.
ReplyDeleteNeat fish and your shoe quilt is beautiful!! I saw Gene's tip about hairspray also but haven't tried it yet.
ReplyDeleteAre the fish patterns available?
