Old Cabin In The Woods

This is a new project I've just started and have already titled it "Old Cabin In The Woods."  As you can see, I'm using my textured fabrics. It's loads of fun looking through my stash choosing what will work best. Auditioning fabrics is necessary in this process.  I need your help for the ground cover.... below are the 2 choices.... which do you think will work better???

Disregard the leaning log cabin, I'll make certain that it is properly sited later.
Now that you've seen the two ground cover fabrics, please leave a comment on your vote. Thanks, in advance, for your help!

  3. Rhonda, I hope you make this into a BOM too since it is so cute. I like both ground covers actually.

  4. I like them both - top best. Howver you know that I would probably use a check or stripe or other pattern just for the whimsy of it.

  7. I like the green but I am pretty traditional. You are quite the applique artist and I am loving it. I do like the more literal art quilts and your's are great. Maybe after I do When Nature Calls I will be able to think up these things for myself, too.

  8. They both work well, but I like the first one a bit more because it's a bit unexpected - I think it adds a nice dimension!

  9. I like the green one the best. Just looks more natural to me. I am pretty traditional, though.

  10. Probably go for the first one, unless you add a little something if you go for the second one, (because there is so much of the green), maybe some rocks, or a woodpile, just to break it up a bit!!

  12. Are you sure it was Science that you taught? I'm beginning to think maybe it was art.....
