The Last Round

I don't know what it is about stars but I just love making them. This particular star I made back in March at the Compass Center then promptly put it away. Yesterday I was looking through some stuff and ran across it along with a few additional half squares. So I decided to add another round or just use up all that I had. It was fun moving the pieces around on my design board just to see what looked good. By the way, my mom thinks this a crazy thing to do.....playing with fabric........hehehehehehehe.....she just shakes her head. Anyway, this is the results. She did love the outcome. 40" X 40"

  1. Beautiful --you should applique something big on top in red--like a flower and maybe words.

  2. Fab! it's a wonderul block. I always "sit" on these types of "uplanned" projects. Images play in my head until that "ah-ha" moment. As Molly said - I could see an applique edge, but I could also see a border of the Ohio star that is in the middle, in the same fabrics or similar colors.

  5. This is a very neat block. You need to put something "special" in the center since everything almost points to it!
