We don't get that where I live in Australia, and sounds like it is not normal for you too. We typically don't get a huge amount of freezing rain, but, always some, usually just before it snows. Our winter temperatures typically range from the -5C to-20C with some dips below that. We have been in a polar vortex the past two weeks with temperatures hovering at the -35c to -40c . Our coldest night hit -52c with the wind chill. OUCH!! I tend to stay inside as much as I can at these times..... We are on the downside of winter now and although we will have turbulent weather the next 2 months, we will slowly warm up to Spring. Our usual last frost free day is typically mid-May which is when we all plant our gardens.. Although I do love having 4 distinct seasons, I do wish our Winters were not quite so long nor so harsh. haha.. Happy Valentines day to everyone
Bonnie58https://www.blogger.com/profile/02486355925643591941noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5015440612643651670.post-42302660032428287352021-02-14T07:59:39.548-06:002021-02-14T07:59:39.548-06:00I live in central-ish Texas too and this weather i...I live in central-ish Texas too and this weather is unbelievable...and it's just starting, I understand. To the north of me there is a winter storm advisory that is closer than I care to think about.

I am glad to hear that you didn't break anything. Falls on ice can be really bad....plus it is more difficult for help to get there and transport you to the ER.
Take care, stay warm and hang in there. Summer WILL come again. I don't want to rub it in - but - since you asked - our weather has been sunny or partly cloudy the past week or so - ;))A Left-Handed Quilterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01145550105234839991noreply@blogger.com
