It's Design Wall Monday - pop over to Judy's to see what others are up to.
After getting the fractured diamonds out of my system, I've now gotten into making log cabins. However, I decided to make the blocks askew or wonky.

I made the blocks 7 1/2 inches so that I could trim them to 6 1/2 inches by tilting the square ruler 30 degrees. Didn't that sound intelligent. Actually I don't know what degree I used. I just eyeballed it.
Here's the first little quilt - 36" square.
And here's the other which is also 36". No borders on either at this time.

That looks wonderful. You come up with the most creative ideas!
ReplyDeleteLove the idea. It kind of looks like a bunch of drunk cowboys put up a log cabin. ;-)
ReplyDeleteI love this! Great idea!
ReplyDeleteVery cool! I love wonky and the log cabin version that you thought up is super!
ReplyDeleteUn trabajo estupendo y una idea muy buena.
ReplyDeleteUn beso.
Log cabin is one of my favorite blocks. It is so versatile. Wonky makes it even more fun. I especially like the second quilt. Way to raise the barn Rhonda!
ReplyDeleteI am just smiling, just like you to come up with something fun and original.
ReplyDeleteAs I am one of the rare quilters who has never done a log cabin. I need to do a regular one first. But I do really like this one.
