I've had the Japanese fabric for years. I bought it in Dallas at the quilt show. Funny how I remember that. Finally, I found a use for it in this Spinning Star quilt. It's one of my favorite designs. Once it's quilted, it will be going to the helping hands ladies.
I'm doing most of the machine quilting which gives me extra practice meandering.

This is certainly a beautiful pattern; the longer you look at it the more stars come shooting out.
