I titled this post 'Don't Ask' because I have know idea how this design is going to turn out or if I even like the fabrics I've chosen. Well, I do love the fabrics which are Evening Mist by Sentimental Studios for Moda, but I'm thinking this particular design needs more bold colors. What do you think?
I finally put the top together for my little Halloween quilt measuring 16" by 16" square. I stitches the designs out the other week then lost track of where I put the blocks.....you know how that is....right? I love this fabric but can't remember where I bought it or which line it comes from. Next week I'll get around to machine quilting it.
Your halloween quilt is adorable...and the first...will be interesting to see where it goes.
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking I agree with you...something needs to be livened up in that first block. The design of the block is great but it does seem kind of "flat". I do love your Halloween quilt!
ReplyDeleteAdorable Halloween quilt! I agree with Pat, the other design is very nice but needs a little pop.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Pat, the first one does look flat. I couldn't find the word to use, but she nailed it.
ReplyDeleteI am very curious about the design. Keep us updated on it.
Mmmm...definitely need a popper on this unsure project- - even it you toss in a plain block with some embroidery on it?
ReplyDeleteLove the Halloween mini! I have that exact fabric and this is a perfect way to use it. It's an older batik, I can't remember who made it either.
I was just looking at a Jinny Beyer border fabric in my stash from years ago and thinking it would combine well with some strips, exactly like you have done! Well, must get to it before the idea slips out of my head!
