Celebration Part 6

Warning, this post is photo heavy!!!
I've chosen a close up of an eagle.

I enlarged it & outlined the parts I want to really stand out. Next I'll choose some fabrics to make the magic happen.

These are just some of the fabrics that will be used in this endeavor.

The eyes are looking good.

I've gotten the beak in place & need to stitch around the parts before I can stitch everything together.

Here's a close-up of the eagle's face. I've used crayons & markers to highlite the feathers & will use threads to further add to the coloring when I quilt the piece.

Little Firecracker is all kicked back playing some sort of video game. I don't know how her parents got her to sit still for any period of time!
Oh, I nearly forgot about the winner of the fat quarter. It's Vicki H. Congratulations to you. Her favorite color is orange.
Please leave a comment to participate in the give-away. I do believe that the next post will be #1600. Oh boy I can't wait!!!

I am amazed that children THAT small can navigate video games, lol. I'm always so interested to see your creative techniques. What program do you use to enlarge your pattern.

today my favorite color is ANY color.

The eagle looks great. Congrats on being so near to the "goal number" of 1600.
Today I will say my favorite color is "rainbow" - which means you can send any color.

I love seeing your process and how you come up with a pattern. Definitely learning a lot when I visit you! Now, if you could just come and help me figure out what to do with an area I'm wrestling with right now ('only' on the third....or is it fourth....re-make of one section on my barn). Finally resorted to 'dyeing'....much bubble, bubble, toil and trouble with things like folk art paint, food colouring and tea.
Today my colour has to be green because that's all I've been seeing all day!!

I loved seeing how you get your design from paper to cloth. Great job!
My color for today is going to be red. I am doing a charity quilt for a boy and that is just not one of my favorite colors so I am very short. Thank you so much.

I love what you did with the eagle; you make it look super easy although I know freehand appliqué can be a bear because I've done it! My favorite color right now is white and black (white background). Can't seem to find a large variety lately. 😏
