It's Been Awhile

Greetings blogger friends! It's been awhile since I've posted. I've been very busy working on my family's history, developing the family tree and looking thru photos. It's time consuming but I've learned a lot. Mom's memory is great for her age of 82. She only need a magnifying glass to see some of the older photos. We laughed a great deal as the stories pour out.

That's me at ten near our two room school. I have fond memories of those days.

How cute! It really is fun to look back at the old photos, isn't it? Treasure those times when you can get the stories flowing!

Enjoy and record the stories. They are a family legacy.

It's great to get the stories straight while the memories are still there.

Definitely taking the time to collect the stories and recording them is a much better use of your time than blogging or even quilting. I too have been trying to ask questions, and write up our family stories.

Cool!! Do you ever think about how our society will share photos with our ancestors when they are all stored in the "cloud". sad.

Wondered where you were! How great to go through these with your mom. Are you recording the stories? I hope so! Love the picture.

Don't count the days, make the days count!
