Mini Wednesday

"66 T-Bird Road Trip"
This is the latest installment of mini quilts.
I've had this piece for a couple of years made from scraps of Moda fabrics. It's been lost, found, shuffled around & well, I'm finally doing something about it!!
I'm thinking driving down the middle of the highway is the way to go on this one. I'm not sure about the greenery as of yet.
I improved with more interest on the sides of the road & and added mountains ahead.
It needed something else so I added a tree line. Much better!
Now on to quilting & binding.....
I followed the cloud pattern of the fabric.
I meandered around the T-Bird.
Did some straight stitching on the grassy area.
Then did binding in black. The finished mini measures 12 3/4" by 18 1/2". All fabrics are from my scrap basket.
Love it!!!

Rhonda, that is fabulous! That was my husband's favorite car, and sadly, he didn't ever get one. I loved seeing the photos of how you changed it, that was so interesting. Sometimes I don't like changes people made, but yours were spot on, every time, and it made me feel like I was heading for Arizona. =)

;-}

Don't count the days, make the days count!
