Empty Diamonds

This is my latest project, which I've named "Empty Diamonds."
I saw a design similar to it but can't remember where. I always want to give credit to the person!!
I am using gray background fabrics which measure 6 1/2 by 11 1/2. If you are wondering why that measurement , because I have a ruler that size & it's so much easier to just go
 with that.....laugh out loud!
I'll need to stitch everything down and then together. And of course there's the border to consider....oh my!!
This will probably go in my helping hands stack.
If you are looking for Mug Rug Thursday....remember I'm doing that every two weeks this year.

Ha ha using the ruler size does make it simpler.

That is going to look great. Are the diamonds pieced in or appliqued on top?

That ist going to be a very interesting block, I love the blocks which are not symmetrical, or how you call it! Are you going to piece the fabrics or appliqué?

I love this background. I too am curious how you did this. I think it would be a fun block to piece wonky style.

That is a really interesting design, and I love the reason they are that size. =)

This is a great block, the colors are calming. You're too funny with the block size because you have a ruler that size! Common sense is a under-rated value.
