Trees-BOW

Today's my mom's 80th birthday.
 Happy Birthday Mom!!

Here's a photo of mom when she was about 8 years old with her dog, Booth
who was named after a dog in World War I.

Block 3
is a palm scene. I found, in my stash, a fabric with leaves and veins so that's what I used but any shade of green works well and if you're into hand embroidery, after pressing your design into place, hand stitch the veins in.
I also found a great blueish ocean wave fabric but shades of blue or green works great for the ocean.

I love the picture of your mom!

Say why not go "off the wall" with the colors and make the ocean hot pink or orange??

HAPPY 80TH BIRTHDAY MOM! Looks like the little Prince was born in a good week, in between me and your MOM! Pink Gene? Maybe some pink sea urchins? I'm not the artist so I'm just thinking out loud!

Oh Rhonda Happy Birthday to your Mom. I hope you were able to do something special to honro her today. Your mom was adorable. Love your palm tree. It looks very much life like with the fabrics you used. And their goes Gene wanting to put all that color in their to help you out.I do think a hot pink ocean would be very pretty.. But then You would need liek a turquoise colored palm tree..Once an artist always an artist...The thing I lov eabout your projects Rhonda is the fact they allways look so lifelike.
