This Is What I Get For Listening To Myself!

This is Design Wall Monday so don't forget to pop over to Judy's to see what everyone else is up to.
The other day I posted about doing a new project using border fabric and went in search of a design or two in my numerous quilting magazines......... So I'm looking and browsing and contemplating and .........  well, I didn't find a design yet but.....
But, I did find something else to make from this old Quiltmaker's magazine....... OMG, as soon as I saw this design I thought of my hundreds of 2 1/2" squares that are still in a bin (although I've been using them steadily, they seem to multiply).  All I needed to make were some 625 or so HST..... piece of cake.  This is what I get for listening to myself to hunt for a design in a quilting magazine..

So, I chose to do the 6 inch square with the sewn "X" thingy to get eight HSTs... this way I get a variety. Once I cut on the "X" and this across and straight down the middle, I get 8 HST to square up.
I'm loving the whole process so far..... this will not be going in the UFO box..... LOL

Five down, thirty-one to go. Stay tuned!

Oh, yes.....what Gene said. (Wish you lived close to me...I'd have you use my GO! cutter to get those HST's cut FAST (and no trimming needed afterwards).

This seems tricky to be put together. Looks great. Still using the fabric you already had?
