By leaving your email within your comment, I can find you. I realize that this is sometimes a scary thing to do with scams and all but if you disguise the email as say.....

this is the perfect way to hide from the unwanted eye. So please help me out if you are one of the non-responders.

I Kid You Not

For those of you who know me, my history with animals and insects, will appreciate this little encounter.  Saturday afternoon, I watered my little garden, walked around the yard for a time and headed back into the house for dinner. Mom and I had a pleasant dinner and as I was clearing the table, I looked out on my back porch area and spotted this critter just standing there eyeballing Mom and me through the sliding glass doors.
Can you say..... Eeeeeeeeeek!
OMG, that's a buzzard.........a ..... buzzzzzz.......ard!
After I stopped screaming and running around in a circle, I grabbed my camera, cause that what us blogger do..... we are always looking for a photo op..... although this was NOT what I had in mind.
I was able to snap 3 photos before he hopped off over the fence and into the field.
Whew! That was close. I think his wing is broken or injured because he made no attempt to fly and believe me I was shooing him away with vigor!!
I don't know if you can see it but look closely at his beak area.... there's a hole in that area..... yep, a hole. That's his perforated nostrils. To learn more about the Turkey Vulture click on the LINK. It will tell you more than you want to know, believe me.

I hope that the poor vulture/buzzard, as they are known here in Texas, get well or moves on... if this keeps up, I just might have to check into a "nervous hospital"....... for those of you who are fans of Sling Blade, you will recognize that little phrase.

I would have flipped my lid if I had saw that thing looking at me. So glad I no longer live in the country.

LOL oh my, I checked out the link and you're right - some of that information was definitely more than I wanted to know - like how it cools itself, how it forages, and how it defends itself - he's not exactly in the the upper class of the bird kingdom ... ROTFL!!!

You are keeping some strange company. LOL.

I hope he goes away soon..you don't want him to die there...his friends will come for the "funeral" to help "bury" him.
