Stash Bustin' Time

 A couple of years ago, my "wacky" friends came up with an idea of trading 2 1/2" squares. So we began cutting and cutting and cutting..... 1200 squares later, I still have squares left..... what to do? Hummmmmm
 I scanned through some of my quilting magazines. This one is from 2008 but has some great designs. I chose a nine patch mixer which I will reveal later.
36 nine patches are done but not trimmed up yet. That's will have to wait until tomorrow. Stay tuned.

One of the benefits of doing a swap like this is you shouldn't end up with too many repeats, if any!! At least you are starting to put a dent into this project!!!!

You will be dreaming of 9-patch blocks, I'm sure (and making them in your sleep). :)

When I lived in Florida, a LQS had a "first saturday" event each month, and those members received 2.5 inch squares of the new fabs in the shop. My favorite quilt is a queen size made from all those squares. Everytime I look at it I think about those fun days and smile. You will feel the same when your quilt is finished. Can't wait to see the pics.

That's a LOT of squares, but you've made a nice dent with those 9 patch blocks! I'm looking forward to seeing what you make with the blocks - something tells me it's not going to be a simple 9 patch project, lol!

;-}

Don't count the days, make the days count!
