Happy Surprise

Look at what I found while searching for spools of thread!
The first is a variation of Jacob's Ladder that a group of us made at a retreat to trade. It was fun but intense.  I'm thinking of making a table topper out of these four.
Next, there this Stack and.....I forget exactly which method I used.  But I do remember that I had to buy a fabric whose design repeated about every 8 to 12 inches.  I've got lots of these so I'll sew them together for a small throw.  I think I need to go looking for thread more often.

I bought a Stack and Whack book and can't figure it out. Your blocks look nice for yours, though. I think I even got hung up on choosing a fabric, so I gave up.
