Chunk

We have a saying here in Texas, "If the clothes don't fit chunk em."  That's just what I've been doing today.  This morning I got up with the idea of cleaning out some closet space and as we all know, once you get started, you see articles of clothing that you don't want to throw away.  That was the case with me....so I just had to try a couple of on......only they didn't fit.
I don't know who washed them in very hot water and made them shrink......I can't imagine who would be so cruel.....but I couldn't fit into most of them. Boy was I upset....so out came the very large trash bag (the 39 gallon one) and I began to "chunk" things in.  I chunked several of my favorite blazers, a wonderful pant suit, several skirts (stupid things wouldn't even zip and I sucked in my tummy until it hurt). I chunked alot of my favorite blouses from my teaching days and a bunch of high heels that if I were to wear them now, I'd break my neck.  I chunked sweaters, scarves and a coat or two....it was terrible but someone at the Goodwill store will be very happy this season.......
Tomorrow, I'll start on the next closet, surely there's something in there I'll be able to fit into.....cross your fingers, everyone.

Some little elf came in during the night and did alterations on your clothes....

I hate that but hey....sometimes it happens....now you have more room for new clothes...or better yet, fabric...

You are too funny, girl! But you hit a chord with me. It's the truth.

Spring cleaning early! Isn't it depressing to chunk so many things? ugh!! I just cleaned out a few more things and couldn't figure why I had even bothered to move them twice to begin with. I always find it's a good thing, more room in closet, and a bad thing, will have to go and buy something next time I need something to wear. (Besides my Lee jeans and a t-shirt/sweat shirt which is my daily attire). Good Luck, you have my sympathy.

;-}

Don't count the days, make the days count!
