Bloggers Quilt Festival

I am participating in the "Bloggers Quilt Festival" hosted by Amy. I learned of it from QuiltDad and was immediately taken with the idea. Amy asked everyone to show a completed quilt along with a description of what went into the project.
I named this quilt "Nature's All Aflutter" because it has pretty flowers and birds which I was really into a year ago. The bird designs came from "Birds Flowers Album" by Bea Oglesby, one of my favorite authors. Her designs are well thought out with great instructions.
The flower designs are from "Wildflowers" #P3-140 by Pearl P. Pereira. She, also has great instructions.
The most fun part of this project for me was the choosing of the fabrics, cutting and placement. I did most of this at night while watching TV. I used one of my favorite products, Steam-a-Seam2 Lite. I sat the blocks in the Attic Window design because I wanted a depth affect.
My "wacky" friend Kathy L., our resident machine quilter did the quilting in no time flat. After which, I showed it in our local County Fair and received a 2nd place ribbon.
